It’s Robbie here hoping everyone is having a safe and enjoyable camping season so far. We haven’t had a chat in a while and have quite a few things to discuss, so let’s get right into it.
Introducing DIY July
DIY is a very large part of Hiker Trailer’s DNA, and we think that’s worth celebrating. All month long we have some major updates, promotions, and surprises to share with the entire Hiker Trailers community. We don’t want to spoil all the fun and games we have planned just yet, but let’s start with some bigger items below. We see DIY July as a month-long summer celebration of all things camping, modding, and more.
Our Biggest Summer Sale Ever
Starting today July 1 through July 31, all new Hiker Trailer orders can save 10% off every single option and accessory that we offer. If you’ve been working on a build in our Adventure Hub, simply log back in and pull up your build to see the new pricing on your selected options and accessories. To be eligible for the sale pricing, please make sure you have paid your deposit before July 31 online or with our team. See full details for the promo at the end of this blog post.
Stock Trailer Tuesdays
Our lead time for all custom builds is still 90 days or less, but we know some folks would like to get out there and start camping sooner. We have a great selection of stock units already online, but during DIY July we will be adding more stock units for immediate purchase every Tuesday. Did we also mention that all Stock Units will also have the DIY July 10% Option and Accessory pricing? See you tomorrow for the first Stock Trailer Tuesday.

An All New Hiker Trailer Store Experience is Coming
Later this month, the Hiker Trailer Store is getting a pretty big overhaul. If you’ve been keeping up with all things Hiker Trailer, we don’t just sell awesome trailers any longer. We’ve expanded into fine food and beverage products starting with a fantastic craft roasted coffee line under our Gourmet Campfire Company brand. Our Becker Supply Co. brand offers quality clothing, handmade candles, and more outdoor goods. And finally, we offer full service custom printed clothing, branding, and promotional items from Becker Press.
To support our growing line of products and services, we’re pushing out a major web update to our online store so it’s easier to find everything in one place. The new online store will be launching later this month. We will have more details to come. If any of our products sound intriguing, make sure to check out our new site when it launches to take advantage of some additional savings during DIY July.
New Videos Imminent
Long story short, right after we launched our This Week at Hiker Trailer series to update the community on our shows, travels, and news, our editing rig quit working on us. We had to update some components and now we have a small backlog of video content we are going to be working on publishing this month. Stay tuned to our YouTube channel to see the awesome trip we took to support Sam and his wish via the Make a Wish Foundation and a new series that explores in detail more of our processes, construction methods, and build techniques that will be a great technical resource for our community.
Upcoming Shows
In addition to DIY July, we also hit the road again and will be in Fort Wayne for the Three Rivers Festival, Glenwood, IA for the Ragbrai Expo and have Overland Expo MTN West in Colorado at the end of August. More shows and dates will also be announced very soon.

Summer Photo Contest – Update
Many of you who have been a member of the Hiker Trailers Community might remember our Summer Photo Contest we’ve run for the last few years. We encourage everyone to keep taking those awesome photos of your travels and adventures, but we won’t be running the contest this year. We’re working on a revamped program for photo submissions and requests that should be up and running later this year that will allow us to make this more of a year round opportunity to win cool prizes and earn exclusive bragging rights for the best photos. Stay tuned for a later update.

DIY July Summer Promo Details:
The DIY July summer promo runs from July 1, 2024 to July 31, 2024 @ 4pm (est). To be eligible for the sale, you must place your deposit for a new custom Hiker Trailer or available Stock Unit before July 31, 2024. Items eligible for the discount are automatically discounted in the Adventure Hub Build Tool or on the build sheet for Stock Units. Discount only applies to products purchased as part of a trailer sale and cannot be purchased individually. Any items added or removed from a build after the sale term has ended may not be eligible for the same discount as part of our build confirmation process. This promotion may not be combined with any other discounts.
